Man Bites Dog! Michael Vick had it all! How could one man who had it all, just throw it away?

Just today the Falcons have decided to fight for $22 million in bonus money they paid to Michael Vick, the star quarterback. The Falcons have to first convice an arbitrator that Vick was aware he was violating contractual obligations when he signed his original $130 million dollar deal. The NFL Players Association’s team of attorneys have publicly stated that they will fight the claim made by the Falcon’s. The NFL Players Association states they believe Michael Vick has already earned the bonus money which was for roster bonuses.Royal Bank

If you believed it couldn’t get any worse for Michael Vick, now one of his creditors, Royal Bank of Canada has filed a lawsuit stating they seek, “immediate payment in full” of a defaulted loan in the amount of $2,313,694.37 in addition to $499 in interest a day. The Interest is to start adding up as of September 19th and Michael Vick can also expect to cover all the attorney fees too. The reason Royal Bank claims Vick is in default of the loan is due to an employment change.

Beyond the money and financial nightmares popping up Michael Vick may also be slapped with state charges due to the dogfighting business he was funding. Vick already received charges in Virginia county where he had his home and dog fighting business. Yesterday a state judge decided to set a date to put Michael Vick and his cohorts on trial and on the path to obtaining state charges. The hearing date has been set for November 27th.Marijuana Leaf

The gavel has come down even harder on Michael Vick as of yesterday in addition to the other piling mess around him. The U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson has essentially put Michael Vick on house arrest for the use of marijuana. It was confirmed that Michael Vick had been inhaling a little too much from a urine sample that was provided on September 13th. The information on this part of the saga was leaked from court documents filed by the federal probation officer in charge of Michael Vick’s federal case.

It’s mind boggling how fast the walls of this castle have come down. What exactly is it that pushes celebrities and sports stars on top of the world to risk everything they have for illegal activities? Do they feel invincible and untouchable? Even though Michael Vick can blame his cousin for leading the cops to his house and revealing his dog fighting operation he still knew he had the chance of getting caught.
