Ad Air Display AdvertisementIf you didn’t find exactly what was in your dreams in the latest SkyMall edition, just take a look outside the window of your private jet or 747 and you just might see the world’s largest display ad hawking it’s wares by stunning you with it’s size and dazzling display. A company based out of London will be launching this new eye piercing array of advertising in 30 airports worldwide. The first airport that will be sporting these new ads at their airport is Dubai International, UAE (DXB). The advertisements are literally 20,000 square meters, or approximately 5 acres in size. To put that in more visual terms the size of these display ads will be roughly the same size as 4 times the size of the Dallas Cowboy’s Football Field or 3 times the size of Manchester United’s Football Pitch. Regardless of what large piece of land you compare these ads to, you won’t miss them if you look out of the window of your airplane while taking off or landing.

The advertising company that is launching this new innovative advertising, Ad-air, has targeted specific airports that have consistent delays and high air traffic that has been put into a holding pattern. Any plane that is circling the airports could give passengers repeated views of the mutliple football field size ads. The managing director of Ad-Air stated the ads will be in a “clutter-free environment and moments free of any other commercial messages.” The ads will be tested out in painted form on a fabric mesh-type material that will be suspended above the ground, facing skyward. The giant ads will soon move on to more advanced and interactive designs that are lighted and appear to be animated when seen from a plane.

Ad-Air, started as a dream and eventually reached the point where it found investors to provide financing of $10 million dollars. The money has been used to secure large real estate sites that are very close in proximity to the world’s busiest airports. Advertising service will be rolled out in major airports like Heathrow, Paris, Geneva, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Abu Dhabi.
